Transitional Care At C.A. Dean
Returning home can be premature for any number of medical reasons. In transitional care cases, skilled nursing and/or rehabilitative services are needed on a daily basis. The following are some conditions that may require this type of care.
- Head Injury
- Pain Management
- Reconditioning after a lengthy hospital stay.
- Recovery from an accident, injury, illness or surgery (e.g., hip replacement, knee replacement, back surgery)
- Stroke
- Wound Care

Sink the "Kate" – A Regional Mock Disaster Training at C.A. Dean
In collaboration with Greenville fire and police services, Department of Forestry, Mayo Regional Hospital EMS, Lifeflight, and Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital; a mock-disaster training exercise was held on August 24th. The training exercise consisted of a simulated sinking of the historic steamship Katahdin in Moosehead Lake.
