Charles A. Dean Nursing Home Receives 5-Star Quality Ranking From CMS

 

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), recently unveiled it's new rating system for nursing homes across the country. The new Five-Star Quality Rating System, rates nursing homes on health & safety, staffing, and quality of care. Only 12% of the total nursing homes in the country received the highest designation of 5 stars. The Charles A. Dean Nursing Home is pleased to announce that they were among this distinguished group, continuing their mission of providing local access to high quality care.

New Pharmacy System Promotes Patients Safety at CA Dean

Monday, November 24, 2008 marked an important day for Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital & Nursing Home (C.A. Dean) and the patients we serve. This news focuses around the implementation of the Pyxis medication dispensing system, which will provide patients a greater level of safety in the dispensing and administration of medications. Expanded Access to Healthcare Services at CA Dean Announced

 

Starting January 1, 2009 State of Maine retirees will receive their health benefits through Advantra Freedom, an insurance plan offered by Coventry Health Care. Advantra Freedom is a Medicare Advantage Private Fee for Service (PFFS) plan. These retirees will continue to have access to the services provided by CA Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville under an arrangement between Coventry and CA Dean.
