Meet your Family Practice Providers at Northwoods Healthcare:

Nicholas Fusco, PA-C
Nick Fusco comes to us from Pennsylvania. He practices four days a week at the Northwoods Clinic in Sangerville
Orthopedic surgery and clinical cardiology are areas he's spent more than a decade in, now he's anxious to return to full-time, rural, family medicine.
When not working, Nick has three passions: cooking, scuba diving, and outdoor sports. Upon arrival, he'll be looking for scuba buddies and maybe professional opportunities, as he is a Dive master. Perhaps the most exciting adventure for Nick will be exploring the woods and waterways of Maine, in the pursuit of fish and game, unlike his experiences in Pennsylvania. Nick also loves to travel and will be taking his vacation time trying to explore the world and visit his family in Pennsylvania.

Shelly Roope, FNP
"As a lifelong Maine resident, I am very excited to work within my home state! My previous healthcare experience includes over six years as a critical care nurse prior to obtaining a Master's degree as a family nurse practitioner. I am Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). My clinical interests include preventative health, women's health and chronic disease management. My husband, son and I enjoy a variety of family activities such as exploring Maine's vast wilderness, tackling home improvement projects together, and traveling whenever possible."

Galen Durose, MD
Dr. Durose is from Southern Ohio where he grew up on a farm. He enjoys whittling, hiking, music, films, gardening and traveling.
Special Medical Interests- mind, body and spirit medicine and he has a diploma from the Academy of Integrated Health and Medicine.
What brings him to Greenville?
The great outdoors!  He's excited to take advantage of all the beautiful  outdoors and hiking that nature has to offer here with his wife and two small children.
Dr. Durose has been practicing rural medicine since he completed his residency in 2000 at Ohio Health-Grant Medical Center. He graduated from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine in 1997.

Wendy Pavnick, PA-C.
I have two daughters.. My passions are my children and my animals, mostly  my horses.  I have an interest in women's health, pediatrics and mental health issues. I was born in raised in NH, but fell in love Greenville Maine when I came up here to work as a temporary provider.   My children and I love outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and  just being out in the fresh mountain air. We also love the ocean as much as we love the  mountains.  I have been a PA since 2001 and absolutely love being  a physician assistant, it is not just a job it is a calling.
Darin Peck,  MD
