Dr. Shannon Meredith, D.P.M.
Dr. Shannon Meredith was born in Indiana and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she graduated with a B.A., Chemistry, in 1988. She then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now Kent State Podiatric Medical School) where she earned her D.P.M., in 1992. She took her Podiatric Surgical Residency in Hartford, CT at St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Meredith’s grandmother was born and raised in Newton MA, hence, the reason her whole family migrated to Chebeague Island, ME for summer vacations back in the late 1800’s. Dr. Meredith spent many summer weeks on Chebeague and fell in love with Casco Bay and the ocean. She moved here after her residency and was in private practice in Falmouth and Bridgton, ME for 14 years. In 2008, she was recruited by Dr. Greg Pomeroy to join New England Foot & Ankle Specialists at Mercy Hospital. This was a merger of Orthopedics and Podiatry, one of the first in the State of Maine, and one of few in the New England area.
Her areas of specialty include forefoot reconstruction, sports medicine of the foot & ankle, diabetic limb salvage, and routine foot care.
Dr. Meredith has two teenage daughters and enjoys boating, snow skiing, and travelling to Cleveland and North Carolina to visit family.
