Who We Are?
The Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital & Nursing Home Auxiliary celebrated its 54st year of tradition in 2002 and remains an active supporter of C. A. Dean and today we have roughly 20 active members. Sheri Kreider from Greenville is our President with Debbie McGrath from Greenville as Vice President, and Charlene Casey from Greenville as our Secretary and Treasurer. In addition to our officers, we also have chairs for our many committees and activities. Our membership includes working professionals, homemakers, and retired people from Shirley to Rockwood to Beaver Cove.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home in achieving its mission to provide a continuum of high quality, holistic healthcare services. We will accomplish this through volunteer efforts designed to:
- Assist in creating a caring environment that enhances patient & resident comfort
- Build community awareness and support
- Organize and carry out fundraising activities
Our Vision
Our vision is to be the best volunteer organization in the Moosehead Lake Region. We will be known as a community leader with a strong team of dedicated volunteers.
Our Involvements.The Auxiliary supports the growth and efforts of C. A. Dean. We raise funds to provide care and comfort for our patients and residents. Some of the projects we've contributed to include:
- Mammography unit for breast cancer screenings & prevention
- Cardiac monitor for our heart patients
- Redecorated and refurbished patient rooms
- Wheelchair Accesible Van

Where and When We Meet.
We meet in the hospital's board room once a month for eight months of the year. (We avoid the winter driving.) Committee mettings for special events are scheduled in addition to regularly scheduled meetings. Each spring, we celebrate with a catered Annual Meeting & Dinner.
